William Michael Witsman, of Charleston passed to be with our God on June 29, 2026 at the Willow Breeze Hospice House.Funeral services honoring his life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Broadway Christian Church, 1205 South 9th Street, Mattoon, Illinois 61938 with Pastor Ian Stamps officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Schilling Funeral Home. Bill Witsman, known as "Mike" to his family throughout his life, was born in October 6, 1950 in Elgin, Illinois, to William George and Edith Estella (Kesler) Witsman. As a grade-school student, he chose to go by Bill, like his father, though his family continued to affectionately call him Mike. He spent most of his childhood in Keeneyville and Roselle, Illinois.
