Susanne “Susie” Evans, 76, of Murrayville, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis surrounded by her family with her husband at her side. She was born June 30, 1950, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Robert and Lorena (Harwood) Bergschneider. She married Patrick Evans on November 15, 1969, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin, and he survives.She is also survived by one daughter, Kelly (Byron) Pool of Murrayville; three sons, Sean (Amy) Evans, Jacob (Danielle) Evans, and Cody (Nikki) Evans; ten grandchildren, Cole (Audrey) Evans, Hannah Pool, Natalie (Ethan) Walker, Lydia Pool, Bella Evans, Owen Evans, Brant Evans, Emma Evans, Huck Evans, and Clay Evans; two great-grandchildren, Bowen and Riggins Evans; one brother, Robert “Bobby” (Renee) Bergschneider; several nieces and nephews and extended family.She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Collin Evans; and one brother, Vincent Bergschneider.Susie was a steadfast partner with…

Patrica Shellene Shaw Heberling, 73 of Roodhouse passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.She was born on October 28, 1952 in Carrollton, the daughter of Truman Shaw Jr. and Judith June Chapman of Carrollton. She married the love of her life, Samuel R. Steven Lynn Cawthon Sr. 73 of Pittsfield, formerly of Jacksonville, was born August 27, 1953 to Glen Cawthon and Pauline Miller Cawthon Watkins. He went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2026. Steve was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and faithful friend. Steve was loved immensely and will be greatly missed.Steve attended Griggsville High School and was life long member of The Church of Christ. Steve attended John Wood Community College. He worked many different jobs over the span of his lifetime. He had been a carpenter, mechanic, and even laid blocks and poured concrete in his younger years. There never really was much of anything he couldn’t do and he took great pride in doing the job right. He would always say, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right”.
