Joyce Marie Brazelton Stevens, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at her daughter’s home overlooking the beautiful waters of Sunset Lake.Joyce was born on October 15, 1937, in Gary, Indiana, to Raymond Brazelton and Ruby English Koenig. She married the love of her life, Everett Warren Stevens, on September 11, 1957, in Gary, Indiana. Warren preceded her in death on September 10, 2020.Joyce retired from Franklin Life Insurance Company in Springfield, Illinois. She was known for her spunky personality, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. She loved golfing throughout her life, spending time with friends, and caring for her many beloved pets over the years. Joyce also had a special love for coloring, which brought her peace, happiness, and comfort through the years. It was one of her favorite ways to relax and unwind. Sheila Faye Lohrenz, 84, formerly of Jacksonville, IL and Morton, IL, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in East Peoria.She was born May 8, 1942, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Allen Payne and Myrtle Genevieve (Westrope) Six. She married David William Lohrenz on Sept. 15, 1985, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2019.She is survived by one son and two daughters, Michael (Kari) Proffitt of Clayton, GA, Kim Toulon of Normal, and Rhonda (William) Stoops of East Peoria; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Ronald (Mary) Proffitt. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Proffitt; three sisters, Irene Little, Neta B.
