Curtis Ray Smith 68 of Danville passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday April 1 2026 surrounded by his family. Per his wishes private services only will be held prior to his cremation. Curtis was born on March 28 1958 in Danville to Curtis and Martha Marcy Messenger Smith. An only child he was raised in Danville and attended Danville schools. He worked for many years as a much sought after carpenter. Curtis was a quiet and gentle man with an amazing sense of humor and a quick wit that was unmatched. He was an amazing husband and provider who adored his wife Theresa and would give his life for those he loved. Curtis loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
