Our beloved mother Edna Jean RowanKennedy was born on October 25 1946 in Rolling Fork Mississippi to the late Idelia Postway Lee and Isaiah Lee. Edna accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Mount Lebanon Church in Vicksburg Mississippi. After relocating to Champaign Illinois she united with Salem Baptist Church where she faithfully served for many years. She was an active member of the Usher Board Junior Ushers Culinary Arts Ministry and the Mothers Board. Throughout her years of service she also sang in the Majestic Choir and Gospel Choir and faithfully worked in the Nursery Department and on the Anniversary Committee. Edna received her education through the Vicksburg Public School System. During her school years she was active in athletics as a member of the girls track team basketball team and cheerleading squad.
