Linda Louise Evans, age 83, of New Lenox passed away August 18, 2026.Loving mother of Michael Evans, Christine (Brian) McMahon, and Scott (Sierra) Evans; proud grandmother of Austin, Edgerrin, Daniel, Elise, Micah, Colin, Mitchel, Matthew, and Finn; and dear sister of William Darby.Linda was a fun-loving, kind, and caring “mom” to all who knew her. She touched countless lives through her many years as a teacher in Oak Forest, her 30 years of service on the New Lenox Library Board, her work with the New Lenox Township Family Service Committee, and the many other ways she devoted herself to serving her community.Memorial Visitation Saturday August 22, 2026, from 9 AM until 11 AM Funeral Mass at St Jude Church 241 W 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451.
