Walter E. Gene Brady

Walter Gene E. Brady 96 of Lafayette passed away on Wednesday July 1 2026 at St. Anthony Health Care in Lafayette. He was born June 16 1930 in Lafayette Indiana to the late Kenneth Jack L. and Florence A. Barford Brady. Gene graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On January 23 1955 he married Kay DeHahn in Lafayette and she survives. Gene worked for Egyptian Lacquer for 44 years retiring in 1995. After retirement he and Kay moved to Naples Florida before returning to Lafayette in 2022. He had been a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Elks. Gene enjoyed fishing boating golf and bocce ball. Surviving along with his wife Kay are his children Kim B. Kevin Gibson of Lafayette and Jeffrey A. Deb Brady of Monticello grandchildren Courtney Toby Steckler Megan Frank Hatke Kirby…
