Dr. Lois Ann Bartelme age 85 of rural Crawfordsville formerly of Coralville passed away on Sunday August 9 2026 at her home. Born on April 6 1941 at Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham Massachusetts Lois was the daughter of Dr. John and Arlene Hilliard Ruggles. In 1958 she graduated from Wachusett Regional School District in Holden Massachusetts where she was the class VicePresident. Lois was united in marriage to Michael Mick Bartelme on October 6 1962 in Fort Benning Georgia. Together they had three children Mike Mark and Jeff. Mick passed away in April of 1987. She later met her lifepartner Norman Hansmeyer allowing them to spend 38 wonderful years together. Furthering her education Lois graduated with a bachelors degree in English Literature from Mount Holyoke College in 1962 a masters degree in Anthropology from the University of Alabama in 1973 and a Ph.D. in PostSecondary and Continuing Education with…
