Doran Wayne "Deputy Dogg" Shepherd, age 83, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1942, in Butler County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by hard work, faith, and devotion to his family and friends.Doran was a man who carried himself with quiet strength and steady purpose. He was intelligent, wise, and handy, and those qualities were reflected in the way he approached both work and everyday life. He was saved and baptized in the faith of the Church of Christ, and his belief in God was an important part of his life. Doran was a loyal union worker with Laborers Local #1392 from 1970 up until he retired in 1999. He took pride in his work and in being part of a labor tradition that valued dedication and integrity.
