Richard Glenn Emberton, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born on October 16, 1954 in Owensboro to the late Gerald Lee and Mary Lucille Shroader Emberton. Richard loved fishing, being a part of his family’s gospel group growing up, New World Gospel Singers, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Debra Emberton; children, Casey Emberton, Loren Wisby and Leah Russelburg (Aaron); and grandchildren, Myan Emberton, Atticus Emberton and Cameron Russelburg.Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marvin Elton Owen, 89, entered the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2026 in Owensboro, Kentucky, surrounded by his family. He was born October 27, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana to Marvin Luther Owen and Emma Augusta (Kunath) Owen. Marvin moved to Los Angeles, California in 1957 where he made his home for 60 years, but he never forgot his lifelong friends from Bosse High School Class of ‘55. Marvin had a fulfilling 28-year career as a firefighter with the Glendale Fire Department where he was affectionately known as “Marvelous Marv,” and he served as a medic for eight years in the US Navy Reserve followed by two years in the US Marine Corps Reserve.Marvin was a man of faith, love, determination, and hard work, who was passionate about giving his life to make the world a better place.
