Thelma “Sissy” Hazelwood Watson, 89, of Utica, KY (formerly of Owensboro, KY), entered her eternal rest in Heaven on October 9, 2026, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on September 14, 1937, to the late Beulah “Tiny” Conkright and Louis Hazelwood and was the eldest of 11 children.Sissy was saved at the young age of 11 and baptized in the Green River. She married Clarence Watson at a young age, and together they had three children. She was a faithful member of Grace Pointe Baptist Church. Sissy enjoyed living in Utica, near her son. She loved playing her guitar and singing country and old-time gospel songs at church and the nursing home with her friends. Sissy worked at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital for 26 years before retiring to care for her ailing mother for 13 years. She later devoted herself to caring for her daughter-in-law,…

She was born on August 18, 1937, in Daviess County, KY, to the late Elbert and Virgie (House) Taylor.Betty found comfort and inspiration in reading her Bible. She had a love for traveling and treasured every opportunity to make memories with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, whether it was relaxing outdoors on her swing with a cup of coffee or spending time fishing alongside her husband. While Betty never particularly enjoyed cooking, she loved making sweet treats for those she loved.
