Glenda Mae McDonald Burba age 83 of Hodgenville passed away Tuesday May 12 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. An active hairdresser for 64 years Glenda always said she never worked a day in her life because she loved what she did. A graduate of LaRue County High School and Helmans Beauty School she was a member of South Fork Baptist Church where she sang in the Senior Choir and was voted LaRue County Mother of the Year in 1979. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents William Henry and Martha Bernice Sturgeon McDonald a granddaughter Olivia Simpson a sister Jane Clark a brother Joe McDonald a sisterinlaw Norma Jean McDonald and a brotherinlaw June Clark. She was a retired Civil Servant at Ft. Knox after 25 years of service was a softball Nana enjoyed spending time at the pool with her family and being in the sun. Bonnie was preceded in death by a son Patrick Lord her parents John Kenneth Brindley and Peggy Nelson Brindley and a sister Laura Brindley. She is survived by her husband William Bill Lord two daughters Susan Chris Greenleaf of Hodgenville and Leah Simonelli of Florida four grandchildren Brandon Simonelli Devinne Logsdon Anthony Simonelli and Cayce Foster two greatgrandchildren Brynlee Campbell Rosalie Pierce and one on the way and a sister Nancy Toni Brindley of Ohio Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday May 20 at BennettBertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
