John Reeves Anderson 96 husband of the late Jorita Hollar Anderson passed away Saturday August 15 2026 at The Willows at Hamburg. Born August 17 1929 in Nicholas County to the late J.E. Etta Kearns Anderson he was a 1947 graduate of Headquarters High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. John retired from the U.S. Postal Service serving as Postmaster in Carlisle from 1968 until 1984 was a member of the National Association of Postmasters since 1968 and a member of the U.S. Selective Service. He was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church for 85 years a member of the F.B.I. Sunday School class and Elder Emeritus having served on the Church Board for 47 years as Treasurer for 15 years and was former Chairman of the Finance Committee.
