Monty Ray Whitaker 69 passed away on Tuesday May 12 2026. Monty was born in Cynthiana Kentucky the son of the late Mary "Pogie" Pope Whitaker and Ray Whitaker. Monty served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years and was devoted to his country. Those who knew him knew how patriotic he was being born on July 4. Monty earned his bachelors in electrical engineering from Western Kentucky University. He worked as an electrical engineer for Boeing International Lockheed and retired from Adient. After retirement he enjoyed working parttime at Lowes. Monty loved to collect diecast cars along with other collectables from around the world. Richard O. Dick Schweitzer 87 widower of Janice Marie Schweitzer passed away Tuesday May 12 2026. Born in Flushing NY he was the son of the late Owen Arthur and Jeannette Bilek Schweitzer. Dick grew up in Green River NY before coming to central Kentucky. A former counter with the Aramark division at Toyota and loved to travel with his late wife Jan. He was a faithful member of Ss. Francis John Parish at Cardome and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his children Stuart Rankin Christine Schweitzer and Sheryl Rae Sherry Arnold Reid six grandchildren four great grandchildren as well as a host of dear friends. A memorial service will be 130 PM Wednesday May 27 2026 at Ss. Francis John Catholic Church at Cardome conducted by Rev. Linh Nguyen. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
