A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Judia Elaine Clement LaCombe, age 79, who passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 2:20 am at her residence in Iota, surrounded by her loved ones.Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Opelousas, will officiate the services. Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am to 1:45 pm. A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:00 pm by the Catholic Daughters and the St. Joseph Rosary Group.Judia retired after 25 years as a paraprofessional for the Acadia Parish School Board.
