Lawrence Lee “Larry” Bracey, age 79, of Cement City, passed away in his home on Monday, March 30, 2026.Larry was born on February 20, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan, to Edward and Matie (Hales) Bracey. He grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School in 1964. Following high school, he attended the Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology.In 1967, Larry was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served two tours in Vietnam. His exceptional bravery and dedication were recognized with the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry in Action.When he returned home, Larry married Linda Galvin at the Alumni Chapel at MSU just after Valentine’s Day in ’69. They shared 57 wonderful years together on the family farm.Larry worked as a career truck driver and retired from OmniSource in Jackson. BAILEY, age 83 of Somerset, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Drews Place - Village Green, Hillsdale surrounded by his family.He was born on July 9, 1942, in Addison, to R. Stuart and Edna (Woolace) Bailey. Jim graduated from Addison High School in 1960. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cleary College. Jim married Joyce E. Lane on March 28, 1964, in Somerset. She preceded him in death on May 11, 2020. Jim was the founding partner of the accounting firm Bailey, Hodshire & Company in Jonesville. He was an active member of the Somerset Congregational Church, serving as Church Treasurer and singing in the choir, and was a long-time member of the Jonesville Rotary Club. He was born on March 16, 1941, to Ruth Buehrer and Leonard Palmer.He married Darlene Snyder on June 19, 1965, and they had three children: Leonard, James, and Laura. After high school Ben spent four proud years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He spent these years in California and Okinawa, Japan. After serving as a Marine, he earned his journeyman card in tool and die where he spent the remainder of his career. She was born January 31, 1936 in Toledo, OH the daughter of the late Frank Elsworth and Catherine Alma (Pearce) Prior.Donna worked in Quality Control at Dura Corporation before retiring after 20 years of service.
