age 85 of Adrian MI passed away peacefully on May 10 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Adrian on September 26 1940 he was the son of Norman and Thelma White Greene. After graduating from Adrian High School James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated worker who spent many years at American Chain Cable until its closure later retiring from General Motors. Deeply committed to his community James served as a beloved barber for most of his adult life was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church and held active memberships with the NAACP and the UAW Retirees. James was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Thelma Greene his beloved wife Louvenia Greene and his cherished son Scott Bell. age 87 joined some of her dear family and friends in another place on May 13 2026. She was born on January 9 1939 in Ionia Michigan the daughter of Fred and Iva Holther. She lived a country childhood there with brothers Karl and Robert and sister Kathleen where she attended a oneroom elementary school. In 1957 Jean graduated from Ionia High School and married her high school sweetheart. They had five children and lived for 20 years in Ionia. He was born on May 27, 1950 in Somerset, KY a son of the late James Curtis and Imogene (Powell) Williams. On December 11, 1971 he married Sandra Doris Williams at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, MI and they have shared over 54 years together.
