Rodman, age 99, of Owosso, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.Verlyn was born August 2, 1927, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Harold and Lois (Hinkle) Rodman. He graduated from Williamston High School.Verlyn had a lifelong love of farming and cherished his family above all else. He especially enjoyed traveling up north with his family and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He married Phyllis Miller on August 16, 1952, in Laingsburg, Michigan. Together, they shared many wonderful years and raised their family.Verlyn is survived by his children, Paul (Carol) Rodman and Mark (Pennie) Rodman; grandchildren, Noah Rodman, Ruth Rodman (Jeff), Luke Rodman, and Kaitlin Rodman; great-grandchildren, Michael Daniel II, Emily Rodman, Logan Douglas, Kamyron Douglas, and Shailen Douglas; as well as other loving family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis Rodman; and his parents,…

Following graduation, Jon proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant and serving honorably for 6 years.Jon had a genuine talent for working with his hands and enjoyed woodworking, camping, and taking on projects.
