Josephine Rose Tobia lovingly known as Jo Jo was born on September 9 1923 in Medford Massachusetts to her parents John and Concetta Amorosa. Jo Jo passed away peacefully on October 11 2026 at the remarkable age of 103. Jo Jo was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Frank Tobia who preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by her loving niece Emily Radina of Oakland County and relations in New England. A longtime resident of Commerce Township Jo Jo lived a life filled with warmth grace and a love for connecting with others. She was her husbands devoted travel companion and together they enjoyed visiting Los Angeles and Chicago making memories along the way. Beloved brother and father Ernesto Cerpa Villarruel a longtime resident of Detroit Michigan passed away on September 19 2026 at the age of 72. Ernesto was born in Ocotlan Jalisco Mexico on August 16 1954. Ernesto chose the path of a journeyman and was an early pioneer of his trade for other Latinos that followed. He loved afrocuban salsa and Latin music and was an accomplished percussionist. From his early days performing with the local band Los Barrios to his final stint performing with The Santana Project Ernesto brought commitment and joy to his live performances. During his beloved mothers final years struggling with Alzheimers disease Ernesto selflessly dedicated his life to her primary care and his stated goal of keeping her in her own home and not in a nursing home.
