Her kind heart kept her close to friends from all stages of her life and nobody left her presence feeling like a stranger. Animals always had a special place in her heart and her home. Marite is survived by brothers Andrew Carolyn Perlbachs and Victor Donna Perlbachs many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Doug was a disciplined and meticulous man who enjoyed lifes simple pleasures his morning coffee a good game of cribbage and a slice of Danish kringle. He is survived by his children Dean Leslie Vatne Jeanine Scott Haws and Jennifer Steve Charbonnet his brother Bruce Jacque Vatne his sisters Sandy Wing and Linda Literski eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jan with whom he shared 66 years of marriage and by his brother Richard "Dick". Born October 20 1932 in Minneapolis Minnesota Doug was the son of Norwegian father Sverre Vatne and Swedish mother Emma Carlson. He grew up valuing hard work family and community and graduated from South High School in 1950 where he played basketball and football and formed lifelong friendships. Robert Wallace Bob Elliott 89 of Richfield MN died Tuesday March 17 2026 at the VA Hospital. Bob was born November 13 1936 in Minneapolis MN the son of Raymond and Helen Moore Elliott and stepmom Vera Aiken. He was raised and educated in Minneapolis graduating from Saint Thomas Academy in 1954. He married Marilee Minten on February 13 1971 at Assumption Church in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in Richfield where he worked as a salesman in the rubbish industry. He loved spending time with his wife sons grandchildren extended family and his standard poodles. He was an avid bowler loved riding in his classic cars and knew someone everywhere he went. Survivors include his sons Steven Limi of Irvine CA and Douglas Sloan grandchildren Joshua and David and extended Iowa family.
