She Graduated from Lincoln High School and was enrolled at Southeast Community College studying Criminal Justice. She was loving and caring to all of those around her. Janet Simmons

Janet Baker Simmons age 81 passed away peacefully from the effects of Alzheimers on February 14 2026 in Lincoln Nebraska the city where she was born and spent the majority of her life surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 24 1944 in Lincoln Nebraska Janet was the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth Baker. She graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1962 and remained deeply rooted in her hometown throughout her life. Despite experiencing the challenges of contracting Polio as a child and growing up without a father who passed when Janet was only two years old she was known for her strong faith and a positive encouraging attitude. Janets life was a testament to love faith and family. She married Dennis Simmons with whom she shared a devoted and enduring partnership for 48 years.
