Watkins, a remarkable daughter, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and devoted sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; who with an innate selfless and giving spirit, she dedicated her life to serving others, embodying the true essence of compassion and strength, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Fox Chase Cancer Center, after a brave and valiant battle throughout her cancer treatments. God called Josey to her eternal Heavenly home, to rest peacefully in His loving arms.Josephine was born on March 3, 1944 in Trenton, NJ. She was affectionately known by her family and friends as “Cookie” or “Josey”.Josey was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, and she embarked on her higher education studies at Mercer County Community College in Trenton NJ; and later attended Lincoln University in PA.
