Cav Gennaro Recchione passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday March 30 2026. A visitation will be held from 400 pm to 800 pm on Tuesday April 7 2026 at The LehrerGibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 West Milton Ave in Rahway NJ. Family and friends will gather again at the funeral home on Wednesday April 8 2026 at 900 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1030 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Roman Catholic Church located at 259 Oliver Street in Newark NJ. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery located at 53 Inman Avenue in Colonia NJ. Mierzejwski, Sr., “Bucky,” passed away on Sunday March 29, 2026, at the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston.Born in Elizabeth, to Thaddeus and Clara Mierzejewski, Mr. Mierzejwski was a resident of Linden for the past 39 years. He worked for 40 years as a truck driver, most recently for Island Transportation of Rahway. Mr. Mierzejwski was an avid bowler and loved boats and being on the water.Mr. Mierzejwski is survived by one son, Robert (Susan); two daughters, Jennifer Garay (Juan) and Linda Jones (Christopher); eight grandchildren, Kylee, Kristen, Carter, Dean, Ryan, Kaylee, Mika and Keanu; two sisters, Carole Keller (Bruce) and Margaret Balzer.
