Mr. Richard J. Jakubowski 65 of Yorkville passed away on Tuesday March 31 2026 at Wynn Hospital with his loving brother by his side. Richard was born in Utica on October 5 1960 the son of Joseph and Mary Slowik Jakubowski. He was raised locally and was a graduate of New York Mills High School. He furthered his education at Herkimer County Community College where he earned his associates degree. Richard began his career in television at WUTR in Utica and later continued his work at WSYR Channel 9 in Syracuse. Most recently he was employed with Resonetics in New Hartford. He had a deep appreciation for antiques and could often be found attending antique shows and car shows. Richard was also a devoted parishioner of Historic Old St. Johns Church in Utica. Susan Nackley Jones MoranUticaSusan Nackley Jones Moran of Utica, NY, passed away peacefully at the Masonic Care Community at on April 1, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.Susan was born in Utica to Joseph Nackley and Fanny Abraham on Jan 4,1929 and attended Bleecker Street and Brandegee schools and graduated from Proctor High School in 1947. After High School, Susan worked for Owens Accounting Firm, Mohawk Airlines, and Oneida County where she worked in the payroll department before retiring. In addition to her county position, Susan, her Aunt Catherine (Kate) Senior and her brother James J. Nackley purchased the Sunny Hunny Restaurant on Oriskany Street West in Utica. They spend the next ten years running and building the business and making many friends along the way. To this day people still remember Susan from the restaurant and the Friday fish fries and of course the broasted chicken and potatoes.…
