Schoharie: Betsy Ann Colyer Guernsey, a life-long resident of Schoharie, NY, passed away on October 8th, 2026, days after her 92nd birthday. Betsy was the daughter of Everett and Janett Webb Colyer and the only sibling to Richard Webb Colyer. All predeceased her. Betsy married Floyd Amasa Guernsey II in 1957, and they were married for 50 years at the time of his passing. Betsy is survived by her children, Mary Beth and Floyd Amasa Guernsey III, her beloved grandboys, Floyd Amasa Guernsey IV (Cassandra), Braden Arthur Guernsey, and three great-grandchildren, Floyd V, Adelaide, and Maverick. Betsy was deeply loved by numerous extended family members, friends, and caregivers. She spent her later years in the companionship of Donald “Skip” Edmonds, who also predeceased her.Betsy graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1952 and attended St. Lawrence University from 1952-1956, where she was a member of the Pi-Beta-Phi Sorority.
