Delancy (Delaware County): Barbara A. Doyle 96, formerly of Delancy, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10th at the A.O. Fox Hospital.Barb was born August 10, 1930 in Hamden, NY, a daughter of Burton and Katherine A. (Gladstone) Aikens. She graduated from Delhi High School and worked part time at the Hamden Post Office prior to her marriage to Robert Doyle on August 26, 1956. She later worked at the National Bank of Delaware County in Walton where she retired in 1992 as the Assistant Vice President after 35 years. Barb enjoyed her ‘sweets’ and desserts, garage sales and auctions, quilting and embroidery. She was also a basketball fan of March madness and followed the Yankees faithfully.She and her husband Bob were active members of the Hamden Presbyterian Church for over 60 years.
