She was born November 2 1935 in Kingston NY the youngest child of the late Raymond and Mary A.Houghtaling Short. Surviving is her daughter Mary A. Berardi her grandson Joseph R. Berardi many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 14 2026 at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home 261 Broadway Kingston NY between 1100 am 1230 pm. Her funeral service will take place at 1230 pm followed by burial in St. Peters Cemetery Kingston NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name be made to the Ulster County S.P.C.A 20 Wiedy Road Kingston NY 12401.
