Joan Mosca a loving and kind woman whose warmth touched everyone she met passed away on June 30 2026 at the age of 92. Born on March 7 1934 in Mt. Vernon New York Joan grew up with strong family values and a deep appreciation for the people around her. She attended St. Gabriels High School and carried the lessons of her upbringing throughout her life. Mt. Vernon remained close to her heart always and she later spent many meaningful years in Pelham and New Rochelle where she built a life filled with friendship family and community. Joan devoted much of her professional life to caring for others as a phlebotomist at Mt. Vernon Hospital and Scarsdale Medical Group. Helen was born in Duagh County Kerry Ireland on June 5 1955 to James and Mary Sheehy. She was the second of four children her siblings are Nora Mary Noreen deceased Mary Christine Chris and John. Helen was always looking to further herself throughout her life. When she turned 15 she left Ireland and went to London to seek opportunities. She lived with her relatives until she got a job in the Marks Spencer Department Store at age 16 and moved into an apartment with her friend Julie. She did not want to stay as a staff person at the store so after a couple of years she decided to become a nurse and was accepted into the St. Georges Hospital Nursing School one of the finest teaching hospitals in London.
