Mary “Lorae” Pellittere Roukema, age 85, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on August 17, 2026. Lorae was born in Paterson, NJ, to Anthony and Emma Pellittere. She lived her life simply, loving and sharing love with everyone she met. Lorae spent her life caring for others. Professionally, she served many years as a nurse in New Jersey and in North Carolina, notably as the first school nurse of Moore County Schools.Lorae was an endlessly devoted mother whose love had no bounds.
