Creedmoor – Bobby Lee Hinson, 90, was born in Durham on May 13, 1935 to Floyd and Ola Mae Hinson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Bobby worked for 13 years at Liggett Meyers Tobacco Company. He worked with Bryant-Durham Electric for over 20 years, going on to become co-owner of the Bryant-Durham Texas branch.In 2017, he was inducted into the Carolina Boxing hall-of-fame. Upon retirement, he took up woodworking and furniture building, gifting much of his work to his family. He also enjoyed gardening, but most of all, Bobby loved his family.Mr. Hinson is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Carolyn Hinson; his two children, Brett Hinson (Kelli) of New Bern and daughter, Jama Carson (Michael) of Creedmoor; his five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 4th at Creedmoor Cemetery, officiated by Pastor…
