Roy M. Fillinger age 78 of Conneaut OH died Monday August 17 2026 at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Roy was born March 2 1948 the son of Robert and Dorothy Kibbler Fillinger. He attended Conneaut Highschool and went right into the workforce. He worked for Allied Resin for 31 years in the maintenance department before continuing his career with Wayne Dalton where he worked in maintenance for another 10 years before a welldeserved retirement. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald Red Fillinger two stepbrothers David and Michael Ellingson. He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Godzinski Fillinger whom he married on July 1 1967 one son Robert Fillinger of Conneaut one daughter April Tom Baumgardner of E. Charles Chip H. West 65 of Conneaut left this plane of existence to meet his Heavenly Father on Saturday August 8 2026 at UH Conneaut Medical Center. He was born May 30 1961 in Conneaut the son of Charles L. and Lois Sutherland West. Chip graduated from high school and continued his education at Kent State University at Ashtabula and Bowling Green State University. He worked in quality assurance for Wayne Dalton. Chip was an avid runner and enjoyed staying active. Above all he was a devoted son who spent much of his life caring for his parents always putting their needs first. He leaves behind a myriad of wonderful friends innumerable close coworkers at Wayne Dalton his two loving sisters two nephews and many special friends. He was born on September 15 1965 to Richard and Goldie Braden Renn in Dover Delaware. Rich attended Conneaut High School and graduated from the VOED class of 1983. He has worked for the PC Dock company for 26 years as a stone dock operator and union president for the United Steel Workers. While his fulltime job kept him busy Rich started a business called Custom Light Creations. Al was born June 5 1936 in Conneaut the son of Glenn and Ezma Hunter Warren and proudly remained in his hometown his entire life. Laura Mary Lewis 95 passed away on August 16 2026 following a brief illness. She preferred to be called Mary. She was born in Cleveland Ohio on February 27 1931 the daughter of Jessie S. Bailey and Elenora Flora Dorn Baily. Mary attended Geneva city schools until 1944 after which she attended Andrews School for Girls graduating in 1949. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in education from Mount Vernon College and later received her masters degree in ESL from Findlay College. In 1951 she married Jack K. Lewis her loving and devoted husband. They shared a marriage filled with love friendship and mutual admiration and were blessed with five sons who were Marys pride and joy.
