Dean Franklin Black 74 passed away on Wednesday May 13 2026 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on September 24 1951 in Galion Ohio to the late Charles and Evelyn McCamman Black. Dean was raised in Bellville and was a 1969 graduate of Clear Fork High School. He went on to dedicate 42 years of service as a Systems Analyst with EZ Pack. Dean married the love of his life Sherley "Betsy" Eaton Black on December 12 1970. Together they shared a life filled with love spending more than 54 years together before Betsys passing on March 21 2025. Dean had a quiet but steadfast faith and was known for living his beliefs through kindness and service to others. Emma was born in Galion on May 6 1924 to the late Herman and Clara Thompson Eichhorn. She would marry her loving husband Robert "Bud" Heiser on July 3 1949 and they would share 64 years of marriage until his passing on July 9 2013. Emma was a proud graduate of Galion High School Class of 1942. Throughout her working years she was employed by Stratbury Overcoats Egner Trucking and Urban Industries where she dedicated herself faithfully to each role she held. Emma found great joy in knitting and was gifted with remarkable talent and patience. Over the years she lovingly created countless socks sweaters and afghans for family members and friends each piece made with care and affection. Knitting remained one of her greatest passions and she continued the craft until the age of 101 when declining eyesight no longer allowed her to do so. She also treasured the…
