Laura Jane Winget, age 82, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family. Known to most as Laurie, she was born in Lima, Ohio on August 6, 1943 to the late Clarence and Laura (Battles) Rowland. Laurie graduated from Lima Senior High School, class of 1961 and later graduated from the Richard Weston Beauty Academy. While working as a car hop, Laurie met a young man that had just returned home from the Army. It was love at first sight and four months later, on July 22, 1962, that young man, Willard Kim Winget, would become her husband.After a few years, Kim’s job would take him to Marion, where they would raise a family and spend nearly 60 wonderful years together.
