John "Jack" Michael Gibel

John Jack Michael Gibel 91 of Clevelands West Side passed away peacefully on April 1 2026 with his family by his side. Born on January 21 1935 in Lakewood Ohioto John and Nellie Gibel. They lived in the neighborhood called "Birdtown" an area wellknown for its Slovak heritage that Jack was proud of. Jack received his early education at Sts. Cyril and Methodius grade school graduating in 1949. He went on to graduate from Benedictine High School in 1953. Beforecompleting his college education Jack proudly served his country for two years in theUnited States Army. Following his military service he attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio the first of his family ever to attend college. He was a proud member ofthe Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and earned a Bachelor of Business in Accounting. In 1967 Jack married the love of this life Marilyn. He had found his lifelong companion and…
