Joanne F. Patton entered into heaven on August 20th, with her family by her side. She was born January 30, 1939 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Carl and Hilda (Benschoter) Dietrich.Joanne was deeply loved by her daughter and granddaughter and will be greatly missed. Joanne loved telling people that her and Cindy shared the same birthday. Joanne had deep love for her husband Jim of 48 years and their son Mike. Jim and Jo had many great friends throughout their life, who they enjoyed traveling with.Joanne was known for her chocolate and peanut butter fudge, as well as her cheese balls every Christmas. We will always remember the family gatherings, summer picnics, holidays and Easter egg hunts shared with one another. Lawrence J. Battles

Lawrence J. Battles, 84, of Waterville, Ohio passed away peacefully August 20, 2026. He was born September 5, 1941 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Nelson and Juanita (Jolliff) Battles. He married Karen Bockbrader on December 21, 1963 and she survives in Waterville.Larry was a 1959 graduate of Kenton High School. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in Education from BGSU and went on to obtain his Masters of Science in Education from the University of Toledo. He taught at Olentangy & Columbus Central where he also coached football, basketball and track. He then taught at Anthony Wayne Schools for 25 years and coached varsity woman’s volleyball nearly making the state championship one year. He was proudly inducted into the Anthony Wayne Hall of Fame. Following retirement he refereed woman’s volleyball.He was a member of Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse and was a member of the National Education…
