Joan Annette Lee, 79, of Toledo, Ohio passed away April 1, 2026. She was born May 3, 1946 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Verlin and Dorotha (Williams) Lee.Annette worked as a special education teacher for Toledo Public Schools where she meaningfully touched the lives of many throughout her career. She was a world traveler, an avid reader, skilled gardener and cat lover. She always appreciated and enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.She is survived by her brother Greg Lee of Bowling Green, sister Brenda (Patrick) Sweeney as well as 4 nieces and nephews.Annette was preceded in death by her parents and brother Byron Lee.A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green. She was born on July 28 1935 in Toledo Ohio to Thomas Jones and Margaret Martin Jones. Beverly had a lifelong passion for travel and turned that passion into a career she truly loved. She worked as a travel agent for many years through Central Travel and proudly founded The House of Cruises. She later joined Uniglobe Travel where she devoted many years of service before ultimately retiring. After 31 years of a devoted and loving marriage Bev stood faithfully by Garys side caring for him throughout his battle with colon cancer. Her love and strength never wavered and she carried his memory with her always finding comfort in the promise that they would one day be reunited. What soon began as an affectionate name from her greatgrandchildren quickly became a beloved family nickname G.G.
