Anna was a beloved mother grandmother sister aunt and friend whose love and kindness touched the lives of those around her. She found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved singing karaoke baking for those she loved and using her creativity to make beautiful floral arrangements. She had a special fondness for Betty Boop and was rarely without her favorite Mountain Dew. Christmas held an especially dear place in her heart and she delighted in the traditions decorations and time spent together that came with the season. No matter how much or how little she had she would always make sure everyone received a Christmas gift. Above all else her greatest love was her family. George Charles Zilba Sr. repeated those words throughout his life and perhaps no sentence better describes the way he lived it. George passed away August 9 2026 at the age of 87. He was a proud Army officer serial entrepreneur philanthropist husband father of seven grandfather and greatgrandfather. Brilliant wildly funny and extraordinarily generous George lived a remarkable life but family was always at its center. Of Lebanese and French descent George grew up in West Toledo near Gesu Catholic Church. He attended Gesu School from 1944 to 1952 where he served as an altar boy and Central Catholic High School from 1952 to 1956 where he played football. The Central Catholic tradition would later continue through generations of his children and grandchildren. George attended the University of Dayton and participated in ROTC before entering active duty in the United States Army. He served approximately three years including time in…

She was born February 11 1931 in Toledo OH to George and Nellie Batchlor Ramer. She married Kenneth Laux on October 10 1959 and together raised their 3 children. Shirley graduated from Woodword High School where she was an avid volleyball player. She later was the captain of a womens roller derby team. She loved to watch for deer and listen to Elvis. Her love of football started young by watching it with her father and four older brothers. Her favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines and Pittsburg Steelers.
