Frederick "Fritz" Sharp

Frederick Fritz Ronald Sharp of Marion OH passed away March 31 2026 at the age of 86. Born to Harold and Alice Chard Sharp on November 27 1939. He met the love of his life Joanne Thacker at the Crystal Skating Rink. They were married on September 6 1956 in Connersville Indiana and they were together for 62 years. She passed in 2018. At an early age Fritz fell in love with cars and it was his passion right up to the end especially muscle cars and especially Pontiacs. In his teenage years Fritz loved going and shooting the loop which led to drag races down Center St. During the 1950s and 1960s you could find him and the family at the drag strip races cheering him on. He ran and operated Sharps filling station and eventually retired from Napa auto parts. He never knew a stranger and was always…
