Joan E. Sandles 63 of Troy affectionately known as Joni passed away peacefully at 815 a.m. Friday October 09 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 7 1962 in Troy to the late Raymond and Margaret Wilcox Hammer Jr. She married Larry J. Sandles July 2 1988 in Punta Gorda Florida and he preceded her in death April 20 2022. Survivors include three children Nick Sandles of Tallahassee Florida DeShea Sandles of Tallahassee Florida Tate Sandles of Pensacola Florida a brother Peter Diane Hammer of Piqua three sisters Janet Mullen of Piqua Patricia Greg Poff of Greensboro North Carolina Rachel David Simko of Strongsville a sisterinlaw Roxanne Neel Sandles of Norwalk and many nieces nephews and dear friends who loved her deeply. Arthur Timothy Jolliff 70 of Piqua passed away at 802 a.m. Sunday October 11 2026 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born May 18 1956 in Piqua to the late Arthur L. and Juanita Faehl Jolliff. Survivors include three children Tim Denning of Troy Chasity Justin Holscher of Houston Tristen Jolliff of Piqua two granddaughters Claireece and Joslynn Holscher and two siblings Barbara Butt of Piqua Carl "David" Jolliff of Piqua. He was preceded in death by a sister Donita Cotrell. Arthur was always "tinkering" on things especially on restoring his classic Chevys. He would enjoy riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle while listening to 70s classic rock. He loved spending time with his two granddaughters Claireece and Joslynn.
