Dorothy Joann Studer 91 of Somerset Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday July 2 2026 at her residence. She was born on March 21 1935 in Somerset Ohio to the late Carl Curly and Mary Reaver Carney. She was married to Gerald Studer until his passing on September 29 2016. She raised five children selflessly and spent 58 years caring for her youngest Gary Studer until his passing in November 2025. Joann cared for everyone she came in contact with whether cooking for someone hungry or doing eye drops for a neighbor. She worked at St. Josephs rectory doing cooking cleaning and transportation for so many priests and brothers for many years. She loved her church St. Josephs and her prayer books and statues.
