Paul was a lifelong resident of Old Forge. A proud graduate of Old Forge High School he continued to cheer on the Blue Devils long after his grid iron days. Following high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Superior Fireproof Door and Sash Co. until its closure and coowned GIs bar in the 1970s and then again in the early 1980s. However most will remember Paul as a selfemployed gaming agent. He was a loyal friend to many and his voice could be heard loudly on many days at Salernos and several other local Old Forge establishments. However Pauls most cherished role was that of Poppy. He dedicated his life to his grandchildren Cael and Cassidy. He never missed watching hockey lacrosse or cheerleading. He was their biggest fan and supporter even getting kicked out of one of Caels high school lacrosse games because he disagreed…

Leona “Noni” Weissman, 89, of Spring Brook Twp. passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown, Pa. She was the widow of Willard Carl Weissman, Sr. and the couple was married for 34 years.Born in Greenfield Twp at the family’s cottage on Newton Lake, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Irene (Jones) Booth. Leona graduated from Scranton Central High School and before retiring in 2008, worked several years as a cafeteria worker at the North Pocono High School, 16 years in Electronic Banking at PNC Bank in Scranton, and 10 years at the JC Penney call center in Moosic. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Moscow.Leona valued the friendships she formed with the members of her card club and took pleasure in playing dominoes and bowling. Richard Hugo Wolf, 90, of Jefferson Twp. passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home in Elmhurst Twp.Born in Roaring Brook Twp., he was the son of the late Richard and Clara (Frable) Wolf. Richard graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1954, served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957 and before retiring, worked at Suckle Electronics as a painter.An avid outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by his brothers: Jim Wolf and his wife Judy of Daleville and Jerry Wolf and his wife Joan of Elmhurst Twp.; his step daughters: Patricia Hartline and Joan Walsh; several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
