Augustus O. Bud Thomas II 98 of Williamsport passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 10 2026 at his home surrounded by his daughters. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria Jane Stahler Thomas with whom he shared 65 years of marriage until her passing in 2016. Born November 11 1927 in Harrisburg Bud was the son of the late Paul A. and Madge M. Murphy Thomas. After graduating from Harrisburg High School he earned his B.S.E.E. from Penn State University where he was active in Phi Delta Theta fraternity and an MVP on the lacrosse team. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Williamsport and its Chancel Choir for 55 years. He served as President of the Susquehanna chapter of the PA Society of Professional Engineers and President of the Tiadaghton chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution. He was also a member…
