Born in Gowen City on Saturday April 16 1938 he was the son of the late William and Sadie Wary Maurer. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Tri Valley High School. Bob was drafted in the United States Army on October 21 1961. He spent 2 years in the Army Reserves at Fort Indiantown Gap before serving in Germany for 18 months. He was a member of Carpenters Union 487 Harrisburg. Bob was last employed with Commercial Flooring System Montgomeryville. Bob was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ Dalmatia. He also was a proud member of Ashlar Lodge No. 570 Lykens and was a 32nd degree consistory member in the Harrisburg A.A.S.R. He had a passion for preserving local history.
