Mr. Bobby Allen "Papa Peanut" Whittle Sr., 86, a lifelong resident of Graniteville, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Born December 15, 1939, he was the son of the late James Albert and Ola Mae Barton Whittle.As a small child, Bobby was affectionately known as "Peanut," a name that later became "Papa Peanut." He spent his working life as a truck driver, logging more miles than most of us can imagine, and as a restaurant owner and operator. Away from work, he loved old cars and could talk about them for hours. He delighted in playing Santa Claus at area stores and treasured his trips to the Masters Tournament. He was also an avid Gamecock fan who didn't miss many games until his health began slowing him down. He was most definitely not a fan of anything orange and purple.Bobby was preceded in death by…
