Patricia Burns Hefner Miller 76 widow of David Richard Hefner passed away Tuesday October 6 2026. Born in Hickory NC she was the daughter of the late Henry Walter Burns Sr. and Manta Lee Mitchell Burns. Pat worked for many years in the office of Dr. Hugh Osburn and later retired from AnMed Health South. She was a dedicated member of Concord Baptist Church. She enjoyed planning and hosting gatherings with family and friends. She was devoted to her family and cherished being a wonderful grandmother to her only grandson Andrew Carpenter. Survivors include her daughter Melissa Carpenter Trent grandson Andrew Carpenter fiance Taylor Hawes two brothers Henry W. Burns Jr. and Phillip L.
