Paul devoted nearly 50 years to emergency medical service working with both Lexington and Richland Counties. A pioneer in the developing field of EMS Paul was among the first licensed paramedics in the country badge 18 and helped establish a profession that was still taking shape. In his final role at Prisma Heart Hospital formerly Richland Hospital Paul brought the same compassion knowledge and steady presence to the cardiac telemetry room.
