Jim Abbas longtime employee of Graybar Electric slipped away quietly and peacefully on February 13th in home hospice. James Jay Abbas was born May 5th 1937 to Epko and Mabel Davis Abbas in Britton SD. He attended the Britton Public Schools K12 and graduated in 1955. He was lucky enough to have his grandmother teach in second grade. Jimmie as he was known in his hometown was the it guy in high school participating in football basketball track band chorus and glee club. But wait theres more. He was also class president student body president and homecoming king. Outside of school he was active in his churchs youth group and sang in the choir with his beloved mother. She was born on April 22 1952 in Clear Lake SD to loving parents James and Adeline Ekern Graslie. Patricia married Jerome A. Olson on November 16 1974 in Watertown SD. They spent their younger years traveling the United States and making homes in Minnesota Wyoming Oregon Arizona and Nevada finally settling in Sioux Falls South Dakota on 1994. It was Patricias great joy filling their yard with flowers in the summer making sure the birds were well fed in the winter and especially spoiling her cat Lulu.
