Connie Elwanda Young Richardson age 79 of Erwin passed away on Tuesday March 31 2026 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Oglethorpe County Georgia and a daughter of the late Claude Everette Young and Mary Frances Wilson Young Welch. Connie was an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed coloring listening to the radio gardening and tending to her flower beds. In her younger years Connie enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses. In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years Robert Gus Richardson on July 10 2003 siblings Pat Sloan Betty Jane Bray Theresa Fowler Dwayne Welch and Toby Welch.
