Claude Edward Welch devoted husband and father dedicated public servant and proud son of Diboll Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 1 2026 at the age of 86 after enjoying his favorite meal of Chicken Express spicy tenders and watching his Houston Astros beat the Twins. It was by any measure a fine last day. Claude E. was born May 23 1940 at his grandmothers house in the Copestown neighborhood of Diboll Texas to Carl Claude "C.C." Welch and Pauline Kelley Welch. Memorial Services for Theodore Edmund Ted Fajen III 71 of Lufkin Texas will be held Wednesday July 22 2026 at 1000 a.m. at St. Cyprians Columbarium with Reverend Ashley Cook officiating. Mr. Fajen died Monday June 22 2026 in Polk County Texas coming back from a trip to Houston. He was born May 20 1955 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to the late Theodore Edmund Fajen Jr. and the late Alice Kieckhefer Fajen. While at Rollins College Ted followed his undergraduate degree with a Master of Business Administration. He was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon TKE fraternity. He worked for many years in the food industry first working every station at the 5star Ratzchs restaurant in Milwaukee and later as manager in the Gallaghers Steak House chain in Texas.
