Ms. Bettye Jean Beed Wimley a beloved mother grandmother sister and friend whose legacy of faith service and love will forever be cherished. Born on July 20 1936 to Roger Beed Sr. and Ethel Beed Bettye was raised in Mandeville Arkansas where she attended Douglas School and later graduated as Valedictorian of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1954. Her brilliance and determination led her into a lifelong career in nursing where she served with compassion for over 50 years including time at the Lone Star Ammunition Plant. Bettye was baptized at an early age and united with Starks Hill Baptist Church continuing her spiritual journey through the merger with Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. In her later years she relocated to Plano Texas and became a devoted member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church remaining faithful until her health declined. A proud 33rd Degree member of the Order…
