Frances Kay Springer

Kay was born on January 3 1941 in Abilene Texas to Joan and Willard Spieler. She lived in Abilene until her family moved to Clifton Texas where she graduated from high school. She later returned to Abilene to attend HardinSimmons University. In 1960 Kay married Jerry King and together they had two daughters. After their divorce in 1971 Kay and her daughters moved to Richardson Texas. She worked at Herman Marcus as a head seamstress and later as an administrative assistant at Southwestern Bell. Kay met Bobby Springer in 1981 and they married in September 1982. They made their home on Lake Holbrook outside Mineola Texas with Bobbys daughter Tracy. Together they operated their own vending machine business while Kay also worked as an administrative assistant at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler Texas. Their lake house became a treasured sanctuary and a favorite weekend getaway for their children and grandchildren…
